Seth Lakeman Live on DVD

Televisionary’s latest live music project, Seth Lakeman Live at the Minack, hit the shops at the beginning of December. The 90-minute special captures the spirit of one of the country’s most electrifiying live performers in a one-off performance at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall. Filmed in Hi-Definition for EMI Music, the concert features some of Seth’s best known songs in the unique cliff-top setting. “We were beaking new ground here”, says Director James Russell, who’s also worked with artists such as the Stereophonics, Lily Allen, the Verve and Snoop Dogg, “it’s the first time the Minack has been used for a project like this and we had to create a whole production infrastructure before we could film. But it was worth it – because the venue is nearly as big a star as Seth!” See a trailer for the DVD on the Live Events page of Televisionary’s website.

Ultimate Ulster triumphs again

Ultimate Ulster continues to bring record ratings for Northern Ireland broadcaster UTV. The ten-part Televisionary series, presented by Frank Mitchell, regularly beat Eastenders in its Friday Night Slot in the province. The series, which features the top tens as voted for by the public, includes the best weekend destinations, best dishes and even the top ten worst eyesores. UTV managing director Michael Wilson said “we’re delighted with the series which is producing excellent ratings as well as being a talking point for the whole region. It’s really connecting with the viewers.”
